Escape Codes and Character Entities

Escape codes are codes that are used in HTML documents telling the browser to display a character that would otherwise indicate HTML code (such as <).
Character entities do the same thing for other characters. (They're basically the same thing.) To use them, you just insert the character entity where you want the character to appear.

All symbols except for the divide sign and the multiplications sign come before the accented letters.
