Drawing Vectors

Vectors always have a starting point and an ending point. A line is connected between these two points. This is called a line segment. However, a line segment, as you may be wondering doesn't tell us direction. So, physicists place an arrowhead on the ending point to indicate the vector's direction. This is now called a directed line segment. Here is a picture:
