Witness the curious border effect around this paragraph. It is not really supposed to have a visible border, you see, because I told the border to be transparent. Nonetheless, my paragraph seems to have been outlined in a 10 pixel-wide solid-color rectangle, where the real border will appear when a dynamic stimulus (your mouse) triggers a visible outset border. Perhaps it's the primer. I can't remember whether the border paint needs a primer for pixel surfaces or not...
